Abstract: 

This talk will present an overview of the chemistry of graphite, including the challenges of finding a scalable chemistry that delaminates graphite to form graphene. Also, a description of the new intercalation reactions, and the new donor-type or acceptor-type intercalation compounds, developed by OSU Chemistry graduate students.
