The Department of Physics at Oregon State University has an open position for a Faculty Research Assistant in the single molecule biophysics laboratory (qiulab.physics.oregonstate.edu). The position will perform molecular cloning, protein expression, and purification, as well as, other molecular biology and biochemistry assays. The position will also maintain lab inventories and equipments, and assist with ordering supplies. To qualify, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in biology, biophysics, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field, although preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree and a background in molecular biology and cell biology techniques. Candidates must be detail oriented with strong written and oral communication skills, strong organization and time management skills, and the ability to work both independently and as a team member.
