Experimental Optics in Biophysics
The Physics Department at Oregon State University invites applications for a full time, 9-month, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level, with an anticipated start date of Sept 16, 2012. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in physics or a related area. We are expanding our programs in experimental optics and biophysics. We are looking for individuals with a strong background in one or both of these areas, and whose future research plans integrate both fields. The successful candidate is expected to teach physics effectively at the lower division, upper division, and graduate levels. We are particularly interested in candidates who can participate in interdisciplinary projects with other scientists throughout the university and through institutes such as ONAMI, CGRB, and the Linus Pauling Institute.
